About us

The club was created in 2014 by James Dowle and Sean Phillips. The Panthers originally started with around 6 players no kit and just 1 ball. Ever since that first training session it has grown and grown and now contains  15's and 18's teams that are providing rugby for over 40 players a year! Games are played on a regular basis most Sundays and each season will consist of a tour at the end of the year.

The panthers rely heavily on the hard work of the volunteers and sponsorship from local businesses. Throughout the year there are many fundraising activities to help provide equipment, kit and tour's. As well as fundraising the club puts on social activities which is dictated from what the girl's want.

The under 15's play friendly fixtures throughout the year against teams throughout Wales. The under 18's play in a league that is set out by the WRU and will also play friendlies and cup competitions in spare weekends.

Ynysddu Panthers runs as just an 15's and 18's section but we have Ynysddu women for those that are 18 years and older. The women's section trains and plays on the same days as the Panthers.
